Hong Kong Red Cross Mobility Equipment Loan Service (MEL) has been in operation since 1975. We strive to provide high quality mobility equipment at nominal price for the sick and temporary disabled who require short-term mobility equipment. Door-to-door delivery service was piloted in early 2021 and was incorporated into MEL service in mid 2022. We target to provide timely and convenient mobility equipment loan service through self-financed door-to-door delivery service. For enquiry, please contact 26100515 or via online booking/enquiry.

Free delivery and rental fee waiver (max. 3 months) will be available to eligible elderly singleton/doubletons and low-income persons, details please refer to the following table:

Criteria for delivery fee/ rental fee waiver

Target		Eligibility Criteria*
Elderly persons	Hong Kong resident; and Elderly person aged 60 or above; or Singleton or doubleton elderly. The sick and temporary disabled who require short term mobility equipment	Recipients of Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA); or Recipients of Old Age Living Allowance (OALA) (Normal/ Higher)
Low-income people with disabilities/ low-income caregivers	Hong Kong resident; and The sick and temporary disabled who require short term mobility equipment; or Caregivers who need to take care of people with limited mobility or disabilities.	Recipients of Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA); or the individual's monthly household income does not exceed the income & assets limit of "Working Family Allowance Scheme (WFA)" # applicable to his/her household size.
