On 8 December 2018, a man committed suicide at a residential building at South Horizons. After assessing the distress level of the affected staff, HKRC immediately contacted the relevant property management company to provide timely psychological support to those people in need.

A service request was received from the property management company on 11 December 2018 to support 1 affected staff. In the morning of 12 December 2018, HKRC mobilized 1 volunteer, 1 staff and 1 Clinical Psychologist of Psychological Support Team to provide timely psychological support service to the affected staff to support their emotional needs via phone call.

Upon receiving the follow up request from the affected staff, a follow up call to the affected staff was made on 19 December 2018 by 1 PFAider with supervision of Clinical Psychologist at Hotline Center in HKRC Headquarters.
