On Saturday 10 November 2018, a worker died in a fatal industrial incident at a hotel in Hunghom.

After assessing the distress level of the affected staff members, HKRC immediately contacted the responsible staff of the hotel to provide timely psychological support to those people in need. A service request was received from the hotel on Friday, 16 November 2018 to support the staff members affected. On 20 November 2018, HKRC mobilized 6 volunteer, 2 staff and 1 clinical psychologist of Psychological Support Team to provide timely group psychological support service and psycho-education to 12 affected staff to support their emotional needs.
