Red Shum Project, a collaboration project between the HKRC and community organizations in Sham Shui Po, mobilizes about 200 volunteers to pay monthly visits to singleton or chronically-ill elders, and aged couples living in old private housing in the district. The volunteers provide regular services, including health check, social activities, health education and emotional support to about 100 elders, with a view to broaden their social and supportive network.

We are now recruiting volunteers. Any person aged 18 or above with passion and caring spirit, who is willing to provide monthly home-visit and caring service to elderly are welcome to join. The HKRC will provide related training to shortlisted volunteers.
