Application Guidance & Fee
Application Procedure
- Application should be submitted at least 4 weeks in advance of date of event by the following methods :

- Download Application Form [PDF] – Complete & submit by email (fas@redcross.org.hk) or fax (3103-4083)
- Upon acceptance of application, an acknowledgement email will be sent within 7 days
- Application result will be informed by email not later than 2 weeks in advanced of event date
Notes
- Only one application form should be submitted for each service request
- Please inform us at your earliest convenience if you would like to revise or cancel the application
- Please provide us the supplementary information related with your application or venue, includes event rundown, location of first aid post etc.
- For online application, please upload the document in the online form
- For paper form, please attach the document and submit via email or fax (For readability, please use email if there is any color document)
- For enquiries, please contact our staff at (852) 2507 7110 during office hours (Mon to Fri 10:00 – 18:00 ; Lunch Hour : 13:00 - 14:00)
Service Charge
- The Service fee is intended for first aid consumables and equipment, it would be differ by category of applying organization, details as follows:
- ^Service session counts as 4 hours per session; less than 4 hours will also be counted as 1 session
- In case of extended service time, service charge may subject for adjustment, please refer to invoice for actual amount in case of difference
- Each first aid post consists of at least two first aiders, actual number will be depends on the risk and nature of event
- In case of service cancellation or postponement after the agreement was confirmed, applicant still needs to pay the service fee; please refer here for bad weather arrangement

Payment Terms
- First aid service charge invoice will be issued by email within 7 days upon end of event, please contact us to request original copy
- Payment should be settled by any of the following methods within 10 days upon issuance of invoice :
- Bank Transfer OR
- Cross Cheque
- Receipt will be issued by email within 7 days upon payment is received, please contact us to request original copy
- No payment shall be made on or before the event date, first aid responders would not accept any service charge in any format during the event
- Hong Kong Red Cross first aiders are recruited on voluntary basis, any kind of reward is not accepted, except those pre-agreed by the applicant and Hong Kong Red Cross, (i.e : meal or transportation allowance)
Bad Weather Arrangement
For the sake of safety, first aid service may subject for suspension under bad weather, while applicant may still need to pay for the service fee in some circumstances, details as below :
- In case of event cancellation or postponement due to bad weather, service fee could be waived if the arrangement is make 3 hours in advance from the original service start time
- Red Rainstorm Warning Signal
- If Red Rainstorm Warning Signal is hoisted 2 hours before service starts time, all first aid service will be suspended, no charge is necessary to be made by applicant;
- If Red Rainstorm Warning Signal is hoisted during service,
- Indoor Service – First aid service will be provided as usual; In case of event suspension, applicant would still be responsible to pay for the whole service charge;
- Outdoor Service – First aid service will be suspended, applicant would still be responsible to pay for the whole service charge
- Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 3
- If Signal No. 3 is hoisted 2 hours before service starts time,
- Indoor Service – First aid service will be provided as usual ; In case of event cancellation, applicant would still be responsible to pay for the whole service charge;
- Outdoor Service – First aid service will be cancelled, no charge is necessary to be made by applicant;
- If Signal No. 3 is hoisted during service,

Indoor Service – First aid service will be provided as usual ;
In case of event cancellation, applicant would still be responsible to pay for the whole service charge;
If authority indicated weather will be worsened within short period, first aid service will be suspended, applicant would still be responsible to pay for the whole service charge; -
Outdoor Service – First aid service will be cancelled, applicant would still be responsible to pay for the whole service charge

- If Signal No. 3 is hoisted 2 hours before service starts time,
- Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal
- If either the above captioned signal is hoisted 2 hours before service starts time, all first aid service will be suspended, no charge is necessary to be made by applicant;
- If either the above captioned signal is hoisted during service, all first aid service will be suspended, applicant would still be responsible to pay for the whole service charge;
- Whenever a first aider's safety is being threatened during service, service will be suspended, and applicant would still be responsible to pay for the whole service charge
- Red Rainstorm Warning Signal

- Our first aiders are covered by personal accident insurance.
