On 30 September 2018, a government outsourced worker died from drowning during work. After assessing the distress level of the staff and affected family members, HKRC immediately contacted the relevant government department to provide timely psychological support to those people in need.

Following the dissemination of our service by the government to the contractor, a service request was received on 2 Oct 2018 to support the affected staff. In the afternoon of 3 Oct 2018, HKRC mobilized 4 volunteers, 1 staff and 1 Clinical Psychologist of Psychological Support Team to provide timely psychological support service to 5 staff to support their emotional needs.
