International Service Leadership Programme

Background

'International Humanitarian Service Leadership Program (ISLP)' nurtures university students as youth humanitarian leaders with global humanitarian vision and actions within their ability. The program facilitates students to develop caring and concern projects on humanitarian issues. As a group of new power, they spread the message about humanity to their peers and the general public in Hong Kong so as to raise their awareness about different humanitarian issues. They can then present positive impact to change the world.

Since 2008, ISLP has co-organized "Project Infinity Cambodia Trip" with The Education University of Hong Kong. It aims to let students explore the landmine issue and also understand the poverty problem being suffered by the Cambodian children. In 2009, the students formed "Refugee Concern" for further studying the refugee issues. They visit local refugee center and also communicate with local Students on refugee issue. It can advocate peers to provide care and support to refugees in both Ethiopia and Hong Kong. Now, the project is still in progress.
