"Act of Care Project"

Introduction

Our adult volunteers initiate and plan for regular visits for those who are in need of psychological relief. They bring laughter, care, and hope – three essentials for psychological support – through interpersonal communications and other services and activities for the vulnerable. Targeted service recipients include visually impaired or singleton elders, disabled children, single-parent families and ex-mental patients.

Training on basic psychological support skill

The training is divided into five different stages, including the basic volunteer training, understanding the psychological support concept, service skill training, practical training, and project review and evaluation etc.

Community service
Community service is always the core part of the Project. By putting theory into practice, our adult volunteers aim at giving “laughter, care and hope” to people in need. Currently, there are toally six service groups and volunteers pay regular visits to the service clients.
