Hong Kong Humanity Award 2015 Award Presentation Ceremony
Hong Kong Humanity Award 2015 Award Presentation Ceremony
The recipients of the Hong Kong Humanity Award 2015 are announced on 5 September. Six awardees of the Hong Kong Humanity Award and one awardee of the Hong Kong Humanity Youth Power are lauded for their persistent deeds in helping the vulnerable. The seven distinguished awardees, of different backgrounds, are unsung heroes in serving others without any desire for personal gain. Their commendable humanitarian deeds are in unison with the theme of the Award this year: “Small Deeds‧Big Blessing”.
The Award, co-organized by the Hong Kong Red Cross (HKRC) and Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK), has been launched in 2007. The very first award of its kind in Hong Kong to advocate for humanitarian actions, the Award aims to disseminate the universal value of humanity and motivate all sectors of society to carry forward such spirit, through paying tribute to people dedicated to humanitarian deeds. More than 40 recipients have been commended in the past seven years. In recognition of the devotion and contribution of the young generation to humanity, the award of Hong Kong Humanity Youth Power is newly introduced this year. Through unveiling the good deeds of those young people who are dedicated to promoting humanity, it is hoped that more young people will be motivated to join humanitarian services and help disseminate the humanitarian spirit.
