A fire broke out at Wing Ning Tsuen, Yuen Long on 5 December 2010 and caused damage of some blockhouses. 11 villagers were affected and then arranged to stay in a nearby community hall.

The Hong Kong Red Cross volunteers and staff responded immediately on the same day and distributed relief materials, including clothing bundles and daily necessities to the affected villagers to meet their emergency needs. Psychological support service and useful information were also provided.
