Providing emergency relief service for the fire affected people in Hung Mui Kuk Tsuen, Shatin
A No 3 alarm fire broke out at Hung Mui Kuk Tsuen, Shatin on 16 August 2010. A squatter was destroyed. 17 villagers were affected and arranged to stay in a nearby community hall.
The Hong Kong Red Cross staff and volunteers responded immediately on the same day and distributed relief materials, including clothing bundles and daily necessities, to the affected residents to meet their emergency needs. Psychological support service and useful information were also provided.
