On 7 June 2008, black rain caused serious flooding in Pokfulam Village. As a result, dozens of affected households’ furnitures, electric appliances and clothing were drenched.

To support the emergency needs of the people, the Hong Kong Red Cross personnel distributed relief materials including clothing and daily necessities to 17 flood affected villagers.
