A fire happened in San Wai Tsuen, Wong Chuk Hang at the night on 1 March 2008. 4 villagers come from a household were affected and became homeless. They were then arranged to stay in the nearby community center temporarily.

At the midnight after the fire, the Red Cross staff and volunteer responded immediately and distributed relief materials including clothing bundles, sweaters, jackets and daily necessities to the 4 affected villagers to assist their emergency needs during this critical moment.
