A fire happened in Shaukeiwan at 16:00pm on 14 February 2008. 2 families were affected and became homeless. They were arranged to stay in the nearby community center temporarily.

The Red Cross staff distributed relief materials including clothing bundles, sweaters, pillows and daily necessities to the 6 affected residents to meet their emergency needs. Psychological support service was also provided for consolation for them.
