A fire happened in Wang Hong House, Lok Fu Estate on 28 October 2007 where 5 residents became homeless. The affected people were arranged by the Housing Department to stay in a spare flat located in same estate temporarily.

On the same day, the Red Cross staff distributed relief materials including clothing bundles, sweaters and daily necessities to the 5 affected residents to meet their emergency needs.
