Hong Kong Red Cross collaborated with the Geotechnical Engineering Office to organize Slope Safety and Fire Prevention Education Programme in the Elderly Centres near slopes. On 15 June 2018 and 1 August 2018, the programme was organized in Chinese Young Men's Christian Association of Hong Kong Chai Wan Neighbourhood Elderly Centre and Methodist Epworth Village Community Centre Hing Wah Neighbourhood Elderly Centre respectively, with a total of 72 elderly participated. This programme aims at enhancing the elderly participants' emergency preparedness against landslide and fire hazards.
