International Day of Disaster Reduction - 2017.10.13
The United Nations established the International Day for Disaster Reduction in 1989 and commemorated the efforts of people and communities around the world to reduce the risks posed by disasters on October 13 each year, as well as raising awareness of the risks of disaster management.
Hong Kong Red Cross organize an event on International Day for Disaster Reduction for the first time in 2017. Through the VR Experience and Hong Kong Common Disaster Preparedness Knowledge Exhibition and Online Quiz Competition, participants were encouraged to prepare for disaster. A total of 103 participants participated.
