Fire Prevention is for Life 2017 - 2017.09-11

With the support of Hong Kong Jockey Club Disaster Preparedness and Response Institute, Hong Kong Red Cross organized a Disaster Resilience Programme named “FIRE Prevention is for LIFE” between September and November 2017, aimed at enhancing the disaster resilience of the sub-divided flat residents in Yau Tsim Mong District when dealing with Fire Incidents. In collaborating with local partners in Yau Tsim Mong District, home visit, visit to fire station, and community workshop were organized with a total of 699 beneficiaries. After the programme, 76% of the residents heard about survival kit (representing 47% increased) and people got a survival kit at home were increased 26%.
