Hong Kong Red Cross organized disaster preparedness education activities for primary students and public to learn about the common disasters in Hong Kong and related contingency measures, thereby enhancing their awareness of disaster preparedness and understanding their response methods and enhancing their confidence and ability in facing emergency situations. In 2017, 7 events were held with a total of 635 participants.
