Distributed over 110,000 infection control kits to vulnerable groups


Since mid-February 2020, the HKRC distributed over 110,000 infection control kits, in collaboration over 260 community partners, to the vulnerable people who do not have sufficient social resources, including elderly persons living alone, elderly aged 60 or above with chronic illnesses, mentally disabled, low-income families and the homeless. We have distributed over  4,570,000 pieces of surgical masks, over 329,000 bottles of alcohol hand sanitizer, over 95,000 pieces of disinfectant hand towel, nearly 92,000 packs of alcohol based wet wipes and leaflets about prevention of COVID-19 and psychological health.  

 

The HKRC staff members delivered infection control and personal hygiene messages, as well as infection control kits to the singleton elderly, people with chronic diseases, low-income groups, etc.

 

The HKRC delivered infection control kits to the vulnerable through our community partners.

 

Health Talks & Roving Exhibition

In mid-January 2020, the HKRC organized health talks on the topic of ‘Novel Coronavirus 2019’and distributed leaflets on infection prevention and alcohol-based hand rub through roving exhibitions in Tsim Sha Tsui, Jordan (Austin station), Tuen Mun and Ma On Shan, to teach the public how to prevent respiratory infections and maintain good personal and environmental hygiene. 1,725 bottles of alcohol-based hand rub have been distributed.
