On 26 July 2018, a resident fell to death at a residential building at Yiu Tung Estate. After assessing the distress level of the affected family members and nearby residents, HKRC immediately contacted the district councillor to provide timely psychological support to the people in need.

A service request was received from the district councillor on 30 July 2018 to support the nearby residents. In the evening of 31 July 2018, HKRC mobilized 2 volunteers, 1 staff and 1 Clinical Psychologist of Psychological Support Team to provide timely psychological support service to 1 family member and 2 residents to support their emotional needs.
